Help for thinning hair.
- Use volumizing shampoo: look for shampoos with ingredients like rice or whet proteins, which thickens strands.
- Don't use a stiff, maxximum hold hairsprays- they can fracture the hai shaft when you brush them out. Use a hairspray flexible hold.
- Avoid too tight ponytails - it promotes breakage.
- Dye or perming solutions penetrate thinner hair more rapidly. To avoid excess damage, apply the dye just to the roots and combing it through to the ends only the last five minutes.(Source:Good Housekeeping March 2008)
How to choose the right hair color for you. Decode color-speak and find your most flattering hue.
- Shades with the words "cool" or "ash" in the name work best if your skin is pale, rosy, or ebony,or if you have blue or green eyes.
- colors dubbed "warm" or "golden" are ideal for honey or olive complexions (if you tan easily, these should be right for you), or for women with brown or hazel eyes.
- If you don't see any of these terms in the name, it means the color is considered "neutral" and should work well for most skin tones.(Source:Good Housekeeping March 2008)
